PaUpEr -POVERTY
Okay any way, I'm not sure if this sounds familiar to you, but it sure do to me. "I pledge to help those who need my help, and those especially who are in poverty."
But every time after I make my pledge, we tend to get carried away by the current events that is happening around us. For instance, your friend might say" Hey, today's friday night fever, lets get out and have some fun." Without much thinking, you would be happily following them to which ever bar or clubs having the greatest time together.
And after having all the fun, upon reaching home, you would start to feel the guilt that is building in your body. Thinking that, "What on earth am i doing? Having fun spending money while others are suffering ? People who only can afford to have a meal a day while i spend some unnecessary money to look for entertainment?"
Other than that, we always long for good food , good cloths, good education, good this good that and the list goes on endlessly. And by the end of the day, we are still not contented with what ever we have and yearn for some thing even better. I know life is a challenge and we should improve our selves in achieving some thing better.
But , lets think it in another way, don't the poor have the same right?
But why do they not do that? THINK!!!
Now, ask your self , DO they have the ability to do so in the first place? Having to live on what they earn for a day to support not one, but a family. A family of Five ,may be? And a very famous Malay PROVERB SAYING" Makan pagi kias pagi, Makan petang Kias petang" Where are they going to find excessive money to have more than one meal?
Now, do they have a choice to look for good food, good material stuff ?
Living in the middle class family all a long, makes me think deep for those who are living in poor.
I know I'm not rich therefore, some times when buying some thing expensive, or even wanting to eat certain food makes me contemplate a lot if its worth it or not.
Imagine I'm already thinking like that, What else those who are poor?
Its just so saddening some times to see pictures of people going through the garbage to look for food, or even those who are so thin just because they do not get food at all.
And I have friends who are studying business and economics says that, if in this world there ain't any poor, who is going to do the dirty job?
Thinking like that some times makes me puke, How selfish could you be? No doubt this is the fact, but if you were the one being born in that type of environment, will you not complain?
Will you not admire those who live in luxury?
Will you not want to have a day when you can say, "I'M FINALLY SUCCESSFUL"
Its because that you are born in an environment that you can nurture your thinking of becoming some body in future doesn't mean you will forever be in luxury and wealthy.
Your one day will come if you do not start having compassion for others.
Start helping others for one day you might need their help as well.
Below are some pictures i think might inspire you to start doing some thing.
